Voke Lofts
The Worcester Vocational Technical High School, located in the north Main Street portion of Downtown Worcester, closed its doors in 2006 after 50 years of operation. The closing of the school left a large, contaminated, vacant complex at the northern gateway of the City. The WBDC worked with the City of Worcester and WinnDevelopment of Boston on a redevelopment program that would address the environmental concerns of the vacant property and convert the school buildings into over 74 units of housing within the Downtown.
