WORCESTER — Two out-of-state businesses have selected Worcester County for expansion, helped by Small Business Administration loans administered by the Worcester Business Development Corp.

The two loans, totalling $1.7 million, helped Cobble Hill Trailer Sales of Vermont establish a regional office and IF Engineering of Connecticut build a commercial building in Dudley.

Cobble Hill Trailer Sales has dealerships in Milton, Vt., and Scarborough, Maine. The loan helped the company establish an office at 22 Eskow Road in Worcester. Founded in 2002, Cobble Hill sells new and used commercial semi-tractor trailer containers, logging containers, flatbed containers and other types of trailers.

IF Engineering Corp. of Fabyian, Conn., purchased 7.4 acres at 3 Foshay Road in Dudley, and constructed an 18,000-square-foot building. The company is a manufacturer and designer of components and sub-systems used to build radar, satellite and other types of communication systems. The company’s affiliate, Crosspoint Technologies Inc., will also have an office in the Dudley building. The company was founded in 1989.
